Find time today to get time to meditate. It doesn't matter if it's only 5 minutes.
Now in 2018 we are always surrounded with some kind of media at all times, phones, internet, tv, in our cars and EVEN at the gas pump! And we forget to turn these things off and have quiet time. Time where you turn off the noise around you and focus on you. What your mind is saying, what your body is saying and especially what your heart is feeling.
Find a safe quiet place away from it all. Turn off your phone (or put it on silent - no vibration either) Get in a comfortable seated position, close your eyes and breathe. Focus on nothing but your breathing. How does the air feel when it fills up your lungs? How does your body feel as you inhale? Are you tight? It there a part of your body that is not relaxing? Breathe into it and let it go. Are you sitting in sunlight? How does it feel on your skin? Is there a breeze? If you could imagine a place, maybe a vacation spot can your see yourself there? How does that feel? Don't let yourself think about anything else but you in the moment. A peaceful retreat in the middle of the chaos.
You'll be surprised what a moment like that can do for your day. Once you shut off the craziness sometimes it can help reveal answers you have been searching for. It only takes the moment to get silent to really hear them.
